Whether your prefer a Traditional or Contemporary style, our Keepsake Finishes are sure to add a splendid touch to any home. To capture the beauty and essence of antique cabinetry, Mouser also offers a new line of distressing options: Heirloom Distressing, Rustic Distressing, and Cobblestone Distressing. Also, our Spattering finish characteristic can add a distinctive look to your cabinetry selection.

Keepsake Finishes feature exquisite, heavily pigmented stains with a clear catalyzed sealer and topcoat for added durability and beauty. The richness of this finish collection allows you to choose from a variety of colors to create a priceless look you will truly cherish. Choose from our Burnished, Limed, or heavy pigmented colors to add richness and style to any cabinetry selection.

Glacier Finishes are solid color finishes that are striated with a glaze to produce a "brush stroke" finish effect. The Glacier Finish is available as a standard offering on both Maple and MDF in four finishes: White Glacier, Linen Glacier, Eggshell Glacier and Sahara Glacier. The Glacier effect will be created by applying a warm brown glaze to solid colors.

Burnished and Limed Finishes are processes by which a colored glaze is sprayed over the cabinetry. It is then hand rubbed to remove part of the glaze leaving most of the buildup in the corners of the door panel, the deep areas of the edge profile and in the depth of the open wood grain. The result is an Old English type finish. To achieve this look, some areas of the wood will be wiped fairly clean leaving only a slight haze over the part, while the corners of the cabinet, door, frame, moulding, panel and edge treatment will have a slight build up of the glaze material. The beauty of the burnishing and liming process is the variation achieved from the build up of the glaze in various areas of the cabinet.

Spattering (Flyspecking) Finishes Mouser Custom Cabinetry offers Spattering (often called “fly-specking”) on all finishes except for Alpine, Eggshell, White and custom solid colors without burnishing or liming. Our standard colors of Spattering are Chocolate, Limed, Black, and Smoke (gray). Each of our Standard, Premium, Keepsake and Glacier finishes have a default color of Spattering assigned, which yields a subtle specking to the selected finish. All finished surfaces will receive Spattering with the exception of the backs of doors and drawer fronts.
